The five-year project for the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple covered three separate buildings comprising Nos. 7-15 Fleet Street now known as Quadrant House, united by a new central atrium space, to the design of architect BBF-Fielding Ltd. The complex of Grade II listed buildings includes work by Sir Robert Edis, one of the leading Edwardian architects as well as the Victorian reconstruction of The Rainbow, an historic coffee house originally established in the 1650s which has one of the finest ceilings in the City of London. Virtually all joinery had to be replaced and most doors needed to provide 30-minutes fire resistance as well as good sound reduction characteristics.

Longden doors and doorsets are traditionally constructed with solid timber stiles, rails and panels. All main joints are through mortice and tenon types, and wedged using waterproof adhesive for maximum durability. Fire performance of all doorsets as designed after installation is ensured by independent certification under the BWF-CERTIFIRE scheme. For Quadrant House, over 200 doors and doorsets were supplied for both internal and external use, manufactured from Mahogany and stained, in a style to match the original doors. Traditional raised and fielded panels are embellished with bolection mouldings and some doors are partially glazed.

The Longden range also offers flat panels, moulded framings in different styles, various configurations that can include glazing and a wide choice of applied mouldings. Production techniques unique to Longden enable traditionally crafted doors to achieve performance levels such as 60-minutes fire resistance and 35 dBRw sound reduction where needed.
