All Longden doors are manufactured from correctly seasoned hardwood.
The density of timbers varies depending on the species and moisture content. The asterisk indicates that the density can vary more than 20%. For FD60s the density needs to be a minimum of 530kg/m3 excluding Ash and Iroko. Use of Beech is not recommended by Longden.
Moisture content for internal doors and doorsets is recommended to be 10% + - 2% and for external doors and doorsets 16% + - 3%.
